The Iranian women's national volleyball team has defeated Uzbekistan at the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup, securing its first gold medal in its 61-year history.
According to the Communications Department of the Volleyball Federation, the Iranian women's national team achieved a 3-0 victory over Uzbekistan in the final match held in Tashkent on Sunday, becoming the Central Asian champion with four consecutive wins.
With set scores of 25-14, 25-14, and 25-19, Iran’s national players clinched the championship, marking a milestone in the team's 62-year history.
