Gaza rising fatalities amid push for truce

The Israeli regime has killed scores of Palestinians, including people seeking aid during relentless strikes on Gaza following forced evacuation orders.  The attacks hit homes in western Gaza City, injuring children among others. An Israeli drone also shot a doctor in the head inside Nasser Medical Complex in the southern city Khan Younis. According to the UN, over 57,000 people have been forcibly displaced from north to south Gaza within five days. It also recorded over a dozen Israeli attacks on or near health facilities in Gaza City in the past two weeks. The death toll exceeds 66,000. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is about to meet with US President Trump in the Oval Office to discuss Washington's plan for ceasefire in Gaza.

Yemen anti-Israeli operation

The Yemeni Army has launched another anti-Israeli operation in support of the oppressed Palestinian people, striking the regime’s targets in the occupied territories with missiles and drones. The missile strike set off air raid sirens in more than 200 locations, including Tel Aviv, al-Quds, and the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

US deadly church attack

In the United States, the FBI is leading an investigation into a deadly shooting at a Mormon church in Michigan, which it calls "an act of targeted violence."  At least four people were killed when the assailant rammed the church with his vehicle during a large service, opened fire with an assault rifle, and then set the building aflame. Eight people were also wounded, one of them critically. The shooter was killed by the police in the parking lot minutes after the attack. He has been identified as a 40-year-old former US Marine. This is the latest in a long series of mass shootings that have become a recurring feature of American life. Donald Trump has denounced what he described as a targeted attack on Christians.
