More Gaza civilians killed
Israel presses ahead with its genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, killing more Palestinians in the besieged territory. Some 40 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli airstrikes and gunfire since early Thursday morning. In Khan Younis, four Palestinians were killed and many were wounded when Israeli warplanes struck a home near the Jordanian field hospital west of the city. A civilian was also killed east of Khan Younis in a drone strike. The Israeli military’s air and artillery bombardments have also impacted the southern regions of Gaza City, which continues to endure intense military operations. The death toll from the US-Israeli genocide since October 2023 has exceeded 65,500. Almost 167,400 people have also been injured.
Israel attacks Yemen
Palestinian resistance fighters continue to challenge the Israeli regime’s military operations across the Gaza Strip. The Israeli military says it has detected a rocket fired from Gaza City toward an Air Force helicopter, without hitting its target. The failed attempt triggered sirens in northern Gaza. Earlier, a Hamas sniper gunned down an Israeli soldier in Gaza City. Last week, the Qassam Brigades, the military faction of Hamas, hit two Israeli bulldozers northeast of Sheikh Radwan. The brigades also confirmed that a landmine detonated in an Israeli vehicle within the same area, killing the crew aboard. The Israeli military has reported over 900 fatalities in Gaza, although many sources indicate that the true figure is much higher.
Iran: Show 'goodwill' for talks
The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement has slammed the United States' open support for the Israeli regime and the genocide it is perpetrating in Gaza. Al-Houthi condemned Tel Aviv for persisting in the killing and starvation in Gaza, and for continuing annexation plans in the West Bank. He accused the Israeli regime of seeking a "David's Corridor" project aimed at expanding control over the Euphrates River. The speech coincided with what Israeli media described as the biggest Israeli attack on the Yemeni capital, Sana’a. Israeli media says the IOF launched strikes on the Yemeni capital in response to the drone attack on Eilat that wounded 27 people on Wednesday. Two people were killed and nearly 50 were injured in the attack.
