Italy ex-PM urges EU to suspend Israel cooperation deal

At a festival on Palestinian culture held in Rome, Italy's former Prime Minister Massimo D'Alema urged the EU to immediately suspend the bloc’s cooperation agreement with Israel. Italy has said it is ready to consider sanctions on the regime as proposed by the European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
