Genocide, starvation in Gaza

The Gaza Strip is witnessing more death and destruction, as the Israeli military continues to pound various areas across the besieged territory. Over thirty Palestinians have been killed in attacks across Gaza since dawn. At least seventeen people lost their lives and dozens more were injured in an Israeli bombing of tents housing the displaced, west of Gaza City. A Palestinian was also killed and several others were wounded when the regime's warplanes targeted the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of the same city. According to Gaza Heath ministry, five more people, including a child, have died due to famine in a matter of 24 hours. The death toll from the US-Israeli genocide has surpassed 64,600, with more than 163,300 others injured.

London pro-Palestine protest

Thousands have gathered in central London to protest against the Israeli president’s visit to the UK. The protesters have called on the government ministers to shun Issac Herzog over the regime’s ongoing genocide in Gaza. The visit comes only days before the UK recognizes Palestine as a state at the UN general assembly.

Unrest in France

France faces nationwide disruption as protesters demand a government shutdown following President Macron’s appointment of Sébastien Lecornu as prime minister. Demonstrators are calling for Macron’s resignation after the collapse of François Bayrou’s government. The protests are spearheaded by a loosely organized left-wing coalition known as Block Everything. Their goal is to cripple France’s transport networks in a sweeping show of defiance against Macron’s presidency. Authorities report around 200 arrests so far. Lecornu, formerly defense minister, is set to take office Wednesday. He is Macron’s fifth prime minister in under two years. With only two years left before the 2027 elections, critics argue Macron should step aside and allow voters to choose a new president.
