Gaza freedom flotilla

Israeli forces have stormed and boarded the Handala civilian ship, which was heading to Gaza, in a symbolic attempt to break the inhumane siege of the territory. The pro-Palestinian activist group, Freedom Flotilla, which organized the mission, aired the incident through a livestream broadcast. Communication with the ship was cut off moments after online footage showed Israeli troops boarding the vessel. No more details have been given on the interception yet. However, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition says they expect the ship to be taken to a port in the occupied territories, and its crew to be detained. The coalition said they would continue to send ships to break the siege of Gaza, and stop the genocide there. The ship had surpassed the point at which the previous Madleen vessel was intercepted by the Israeli regime in June.

Gaza resistance retaliates

Three more Israeli soldiers have been killed, and several others wounded, some seriously, in a deadly ambush by Palestinian resistance fighters in southern Gaza. According to Israeli media, resistance fighters carried out a complex ambush which targeted an Israeli military force in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis. The operation has been claimed by the military wing of Hamas, the al-Qassam Brigades. During the operation, resistance fighters emerged from a tunnel and planted explosive devices on Israeli armored vehicles, destroying two personnel carriers. Another military vehicle was hit by a Yassin 105 missile. The operation was part of Hamas’ Stones of David attacks, which have been launched in response to the ongoing genocide in Gaza. The new mortalities increased the number of Israeli forces killed since the beginning of the war of extermination on Gaza to over 890 soldiers. More than 450 of them have been killed in ground battles across the besieged territory.

Anti-Netanyahu protests

Israeli settlers have once again taken to the streets of Tel Aviv, Haifa and other cities in the northern part of the occupied territories. The demonstrators slammed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies, while demanding a Gaza ceasefire deal to allow the return of the captives held in Gaza. In Haifa, the protesters held up banners, slamming the Gaza genocide and calling for snap elections to remove Netanyahu from power. They called on US President Donald Trump to force Netanyahu to sign a ceasefire deal with Hamas. Netanyahu is accused of prolonging the war to serve his own political interests. Talks on a ceasefire have been going on for months, but without a breakthrough, mainly due to Netanyahu’s refusal to permanently end the war. The Hamas resistance movement says it favors a truce deal only if it leads to a permanent ceasefire and full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
