Iran defense power

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says Iran’s enemies are furious at the advances made by the Islamic establishment over the past decades. He made the remark in a meeting with the commanders of Iran’s Armed Forces on the occasion of the New Iranian Year. The Leader said the reason for enemy hostilities towards Iran is its determination to be an independent and Islamic state with its own identity. Ayatollah Khamenei also slammed the world arrogance for arming itself with the most advanced and lethal weapons, while preventing other countries from obtaining their needed defense capabilities. He also called for maximum preparedness of the country’s Armed Forces to defend the nation against any aggression.

US-Israeli Gaza genocide

Gaza health ministry condemns the Israeli attack on al-Ahli al-Mamadani Hospital, calling for the protection of health workers in medical facilities. Palestinian resistance groups also reacted to the strike. Hamas said the Saturday night attack is a new war crime by the Fascist Israeli regime. Hamas emphasized that Israel would have never been able to commit such a crime without US’s support. The Islamic Jihad also said Washington is responsible for such Israeli crimes. It said Israel has turned Gaza into a graveyard of law and humanity amid international silence. Meanwhile, the Gaza government’s media office said Israel has fully destroyed 34 Gaza hospitals as part of an organized campaign to raze the territory’s health infrastructure. Al- Ahli hospital was the largest functioning health center in northern Gaza and is now out of service after its emergency unit and main entrance were destroyed in the Israeli strike.

US-China trade war

China has commented on US President Donald Trump’s tariff exclusion list, calling it a “small step” in correcting his “wrong practice” of imposing 145-percent tariffs on Chinese imports. China’s commerce ministry spokesperson called on Washington to completely cancel its reciprocal tariffs and return to the path of mutual respect. The US administration exempted key electronic imports like smart phones and computers, supplied largely by China, from reciprocal tariffs. The exemption came amid broader tariff shifts. Trump has paused planned global tariffs for 90 days, opting to keep a 10-percent baseline rate. But he raised China-specific tariffs to 145%, citing trade retaliation concerns. While Trump insists that import taxes will bring jobs the US, economists and business leaders warn the escalating trade wars may backfire, hurting both American companies and consumers.
