Hamas adhering with deal

The Hamas resistance movement has announced it will release 6 more Israeli captives as part of the Gaza ceasefire deal. Al-Hayya says Hamas continues to work around the clock with the mediators, especially Qatar and Egypt, to oblige Israel to fulfill the first phase of the agreement, especially regarding humanitarian issues. He said this indicates the seriousness of the Hamas movement in implementing the agreement. Al-Hayya also criticized Israel for procrastination in the implementation of the humanitarian protocol of the truce.
 

Gaza ceasefire negotiations

Qatar has reaffirmed its dedication to facilitating the start of the Gaza ceasefire negotiations. The spokesperson for the Qatari Foreign Ministry indicated that the country is diligently working to commence negotiations for the second phase; however, incidents on the ground may impact the ceasefire discussions. He spoke of a favorable environment for the start of negotiations as only Palestinians must decide their territory's future. For his turn, the Israeli regime’s Foreign Minister says Israel will begin negotiations on the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire deal, including an exchange of Israeli captives and Palestinian abductees. The first phase of the Gaza ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal has been in place since Jan. 19, pausing Israel’s genocidal war. Under the agreement, 19 Israeli captives and five Thai workers have been released in exchange for 1,135 Palestinian prisoners.
 

Talks over Ukraine war

In a bid to address the ongoing Ukraine conflict, US and Russian officials have met in Riyadh to explore potential solutions acceptable to all sides. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov led the talks, emphasizing the necessity of considering Moscow's security concerns in any negotiations. Although Ukraine was not present, Russia made it clear that a balanced approach is essential for achieving lasting peace. The discussions mark a significant moment in the diplomatic process, offering a chance for further dialogue, though the road ahead remains complex and uncertain.
