Rejecting Trump 'racist plan'
Hamas has categorically rejected US President Donald Trump's plan for displacing the people of Gaza under the pretext of reconstructing the war-ravaged territory. In an official statement, Hamas described the plan as racist and a call for ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. It added that Trump’s plan is aimed at eliminating the Palestinian cause and denying the national rights of the Palestinian people. The movement said the unified stance of the Arab and Islamic world against the plan will cause it to fail. Hamas also rejected recent threats by Trump and the Israeli prime minister about resuming the Gaza genocide if all Israeli captives are not released. The movement stressed that it remains committed to the ceasefire agreement as long as the occupation complies with it. It said Israeli is the party that did not abide by its commitments, and is responsible for any complications or delays. Hamas emphasized that the people of Gaza have firmly stood in the face of the bombing and aggression, and will remain steadfast in their land, and thwart all forced displacement plans.
Israeli crimes in West Bank
Israeli forces continue to wreak havoc on Palestinian cities and towns across the occupied West Bank, as the regime presses ahead with its weeks-long military operation. Now, the Israeli military says it is allocating a special battalion to tighten the grip on Palestinians across the territory. Israeli media say the battalion is tasked with continuing the ongoing military operation in a number of areas for several months, using troops who are familiar with those area. The areas include Jenin and its refugee camp, and the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm. The decision comes amid escalating tensions across the West Bank. Earlier on Tuesday, Israeli forces blew up a house belonging to a Palestinian who was killed by regime forces in Jenin back in July, while injuring three other civilians. The regime’s troops also murdered a Palestinian youth in the town of Sa’ir near Al-Khalil. According to UN rapporteurs, Israel is employing Gaza-like tactics in the West Bank, demolishing homes and infrastructure to displace its Palestinian population.
Response to Trump threats
Iran has firmly condemned US President Donald Trump's threat to use force against the country, as deeply alarming and irresponsible. Iran's permanent ambassador to the UN made the comment in a letter to the UN chief and the president of the Security Council. Amir Saeid Iravani said Trump’s reckless and inflammatory statements flagrantly violate international law and the UN Charter. He warned that any act of aggression against Iran will have severe consequences, for which the US will bear full responsibility. The Iranian diplomat also slammed Trump's so-called maximum pressure” policy against Iran as a blatant violation of fundamental principles and norms of international law. Iravani called on the Security Council not to remain silent in the face of such brazen rhetoric and condemned it unequivocally. He emphasized that Iran will resolutely defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national interests against any hostile action.
