Iran has condemned Israel's crimes in the occupied West Bank which range from the killing of civilians to arbitrary arrests and the destruction of property.
In a statement on Monday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei expressed deep concern over the intensification of aggression in the West Bank, notably in the Jenin refugee camp.
He said human rights bodies of the United Nations, including the Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Palestine, have repeatedly issued warnings against the spread of Israel's genocidal campaign to the West Bank.
The Iranian official called on the international community, especially Muslim and regional countries, to prevent in earnest the repetition of the “heinous” crimes of the regime in the West Bank.
Baghaei expressed great sorrow over the continued inaction of the United Nations and its Security Council regarding the spread of the genocide to all the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Iranian spokesman said the International Criminal Court and international humanitarian organizations, particularly the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, should also shoulder their legal and humanitarian responsibilities regarding the unprecedented crimes in the West Bank and Gaza.
Israel has killed at least 70 Palestinians, including 10 children, one woman, and two elderly people, in the occupied West Bank since the start of 2025, the Palestinian Health Ministry said on Monday.
In Gaza, the government media office raised to 61,709 the death toll from Israel’s campaign of genocide. Salama Marouf, the media office’s head, released the figure on Sunday by adding 14,222 who are missing and now presumed dead to 47,487 bodies that were already transferred to hospitals.
