US-Israel Gaza genocide
Israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza continues unabated, with more Palestinian civilians falling victim to the regime’s indiscriminate strikes across the besieged territory. Ten Palestinians, including women and children, were killed in a fresh airstrike on a house sheltering the displaced people in the southern city of Khan Yunis. Another Palestinian lost his life in a bombing of a house in Gaza City. Meanwhile, a Palestinian journalist Mohammed Bashir al-Talmas succumbed to the injuries he sustained during a recent Israeli attack on the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza City. This brings to 204 the number of Palestinian media personnel killed since the beginning of the war in October 2023. The overall Palestinian death toll in Gaza now stands at over 46,500 while more than 109,000 others have been injured.
Yemen retaliation
The Yemeni army has carried out fresh anti-Israel operations in support of Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip and in response to the regime’s aggression against the Arab country. According to the spokesman for Yemen’s armed forces, the missiles fired at Israeli positions in the occupied territories successfully hit their targets. It was part of the fifth phase of operation in retaliation to the Israeli bloodshed in Gaza and aggression against Yemen. The fresh missile attack resulted in the injury of eleven Israelis seeking shelter. Earlier, the Yemeni army had fired a missile and several drones toward the regime’s positions, resulting in the activation of sirens in the occupied territories and the suspension of flights at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. Saree has reiterated that such strikes on Israel will continue as long as the regime goes ahead with its genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.
Iran-E3 meeting
Iran and three European countries- the UK, Germany, and France- have agreed to resume talks aimed at lifting anti-Iran sanctions. Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi made the announcement after a third round of talks with the European Troika or E-3 in Geneva. In a message on his X social media network, Gharibabadi described Monday’s meeting as serious, frank and constructive. He said, the parties reached the consensus on creating a conducive atmosphere for progress in talks. Iran has consistently expressed readiness for a sustainable agreement that ensures the lifting of sanctions imposed on the country under different pretexts, including its nuclear program. Earlier, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson also reiterated Iran’s consistent stance on negotiation, saying Tehran never left the negotiating table but will not beg to negotiate either.
