US-Israeli Gaza genocide

More Palestinian civilians are slaughtered in Gaza as the Israeli military continues to pound the blockaded territory indiscriminately. Israeli warplanes struck a house in the al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, killing at least four people and injuring several others. In a separate strike, two teens were killed in a drone strike in the town of Al-Shawka, east of Rafah, southern Gaza. The Israeli artillery also shelled a number of areas across Gaza, leaving an unknown number of Palestinians dead and injured. The strikes come as Palestinian fighters are putting stiff resistance against Israeli invading soldiers and have managed to inflict heavy losses on them. On Monday, at least two Israeli soldiers were killed and several others injured in north Gaza clashes. The Israeli aggression against Gaza began in October 2023. Since then, more than 45,800 Palestinians have been killed and over 109,000 others injured.

Plight of children in Gaza

The World Health Organization says children in Gaza are paying the price of Israel’s war on the besieged strip with their own lives. In a post on social media, director-general of the organization, Tedros Gheb-reye-sus, said more children in Gaza are in danger, while also calling for a ceasefire. He made the remarks after another Palestinian infant died in the besieged strip on Monday due to the severe cold. This brings the total number of deaths from harsh weather conditions to eight, including seven children, as the genocide continues in Gaza. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs also expressed deep concern over reports that a one-month-old Palestinian baby has died due to hypothermia. OCHA stated that these deaths were preventable, had the items required to protect these children been accessible to their families. The UN office added that it continues to receive daily reports of civilians being killed and injured across Gaza, causing widespread destruction and displacement.

Yemen retaliatory operations

The Yemeni army says it has carried out several operations against American and Israeli targets in response to their hostile moves against the Arab country. Saree said the other operation targeted a vital Israeli target in the occupied city of Asqalan with a drone. He added a forth military operation targeted an Israeli military target in the occupied Yaffa, also using a drone. The Yemeni army spokesman said the operations successfully achieved their objectives. The Yemeni official noted that the country’s armed forces will continue their operations in support of the Palestinian resistance, adding that such operations will NOT stop until the aggression on Gaza stops and its siege is lifted.
