US-Israel genocide in Gaza

Saturday has been another deadly day for Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip as the Israeli military continues to pound the blockaded territory with more attacks. In one of the deadliest strikes, at least nine people were killed after Israeli warplanes bombed a vehicle for Palestinian aid workers in Jabalia, northern Gaza. Israeli bombing of a Palestinian home in al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza city also killed several people. Palestinians in al-Sabra neighborhood, western Gaza, were also targeted by Israeli air raids. The Israeli aggression against Gaza began in October 2023. Since then, more than 45,700 Palestinians have been killed and over 108,000 others injured.

Call for release of Dr. Abu Safia

The Council on American-Islamic Relations calls on the US government to take immediate action regarding the abduction of the director of Kamal Adwan hospital by Israeli forces in northern Gaza. CAIR said in a statement, that the Biden administration, which is a full partner in Israel’s genocide in Gaza, must act to secure the release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safia. The council also emphasized the need to end the regime’s systematic assault on hospitals and medical personnel in Gaza. Israeli forces stormed Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza on December 27, burning and destroying most of its departments. Dr. Abu Safia, along with several medical staff and patients, was forcibly evacuated and abducted. Known for his dedication to treating patients, the Palestinian doctor refused to leave the hospital despite the dangers. Human rights groups have raised concerns about his wellbeing, reporting indications of torture and abuse. Despite these concerns, Israel has not disclosed his whereabouts.

Captive's message to Netanyahu

The military wing of Hamas movement, Qassam Brigades has released a new video of a female Israeli captive held in the Gaza strip. The video shows Liri Albag who was a surveillance soldier stationed at the Nahal Oz post near the Gaza strip. She sends a reprimanding message to the Israeli cabinet saying that captives’ release is not on their priority list. She urged the Israeli military to withdraw from the Gaza strip and stop airstrikes which she says endangers captives’ lives. Albag said one of her friends was seriously injured during a recent air raid and is in critical condition. Hamas had previously released similar videos and said that many Israeli captives have been killed in the intense Israeli bombing campaigns. The exact number of Israeli captives held in Gaza who are still alive is unknown.
