Yemen fires second hypersonic missile at Israeli targets in as many days
The Yemeni Armed Forces claimed responsibility for a missile strike on a military target within the Israeli-occupied territories in support of Gaza, marking the second attack in just two days.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesman for Yemen’s Armed Forces, stated on Wednesday that the operation involved a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile, and struck an Israeli military target in Tel Aviv.
The Yemeni spokesman underscored that the missile strike was part of the fifth phase of the battle against the Israeli enemy, and could successfully attain its desired objectives.
The Yemeni Armed Forces will continue their operations, and will strike all Israeli facilities within the occupied territories, he said.
Such strikes will not stop unless the ongoing aggression on Gaza stops and the siege is completely lifted, Saree pointed out.
Yemen has intensified its pro-Palestine strikes against Israeli targets and the occupied territories.
'Thousands of Israeli settlers run for shelters at night'
Recent attacks include a Tuesday missile strike on a military site in Tel Aviv's southern suburb of Jaffa, a Monday drone attack on an Ashkelon site, and a Saturday missile strike near Tel Aviv, injuring 20 settlers.
Yemeni strikes drive hundreds of thousands of settlers into shelters nightly, with Israeli authorities unable to respond, according to Israeli media.
Yemen’s arsenal includes long-range ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones capable of hitting targets up to 2,000 kilometers away.
Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched its devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, after the territory’s resistance movements carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the occupying entity.
Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement has been also targeting ships linked to Israel, the United States, or the United Kingdom to force an end to the Tel Aviv regime’s genocidal war on Gaza.
These operations have effectively shut down the Eilat port south of the occupied territories, causing significant economic setbacks for the Israelis.
The Yemeni armed forces have said they will not stop their attacks until Israel’s ground and aerial offensives in Gaza end.
So far, Israel has killed at least 45,338 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured another 107,764 individuals in Gaza.
