Israel war on hospitals
Israeli forces have launched a fresh series of attacks on Kamal Adwan Hospital in the Gaza Strip’s northern city of Beit Lahia. Bombarding it with artillery shells and airstrikes, the assault caused extensive damage to the hospital’s infrastructure. This, according to its staff, includes damage to power generators and vital departments. Israeli forces have also demanded the hospital’s complete evacuation, which has threatened the lives of some 80 patients. The hospital’s director has called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities as he noted that the critical care units and newborn wards face unprecedented targeting. Israel's military routinely carries out numerous deadly attacks on hospitals in Gaza. So far, over 1,000 nurses and doctors have been killed by the regime’s forces during the ongoing genocide. Patients are also found to be helpless as they are faced with death, either by Israeli gunfire or the lack of necessary supplies.
Famine in Gaza
International humanitarian organization ActionAid says severe food shortages have pushed thousands of Gazans to the brink of starvation as the Israeli siege of the coastal strip continues. In a statement, the organization said while many families rely on community kitchens as their last hope for a single meal each day, Israel has forced several of these kitchens to shut down. ActionAid stressed that hunger continues to be used as a weapon of war in Gaza, as Israel’s incessant airstrikes prevent people from searching for food. The organization said that hunger and malnutrition in northern Gaza are escalating rapidly, and the threshold for famine has already been surpassed. ActionAid said food supplies have been cut off for nearly 75,000 people in northern Gaza for over 70 days.
Anti-Netanyahu protests
Israelis have once again held a fresh rally to call for new leaders in charge that can guarantee a ceasefire deal with the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas. Hundreds of protesters, including the families of the Israeli captives held in Gaza, came together in Tel Aviv to demand their Prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu’s resignation, along with his cabinet members. They blamed Netanyahu for making terrible decisions. Protesters were seen chanting anti-regime slogans. Over 100 captives are held in Gaza; around half of them are believed to be still alive. The families of the captives backed by other Israelis have held numerous rallies to press their demands. They accuse Netanyahu of deliberately avoiding a deal and prolonging the war so that he could remain in power.
