US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip wake up to fresh Israeli strikes as the regime’s military continues to pound the coastal territory indiscriminately. In one of the attacks, at least two people were killed and several others injured after Israeli warplanes bombed a school housing displaced people on Yaffa Street, in northeastern Gaza. Israeli airstrikes also targeted a tent of displaced Palestinians in the southern city of Khan Yunis, killing several people including a woman and her children. The Israeli artillery also shelled a number of areas including the al-Sabra neighborhood, south of the Gaza city. The Israeli aggression which began in October last year, has so far claimed the lives of nearly 45,000, leaving more than 106,000 others wounded.

Israel's Syria aggression

The Israeli military presses ahead with its aggression against Syria, targeting several military positions in new airstrikes across the Arab country. The Israeli warplanes targeted a Syrian military position around the city of Masyaf, west of Hama, in central Syria. Regime’s fighter jets also struck a number of military targets in southern and central parts of the capital Damascus. The 16th regiment of the Syrian army in the Al-Otaiba area in the Damascus countryside was also hit. The Israeli military has struck hundreds of targets across the Syrian territory since armed groups took over the capital Damascus in a surprise offensive last week.

South Korea political crisis

South Korea’s parliament has voted to impeach President Yoon Suk Yeol after his controversial attempt to impose martial law led to widespread political turmoil in the country. South Korea’s National Assembly voted 204 to 85 to impeach the President, marking the second impeachment vote in just over a week. The motion, which required a two-thirds majority to pass, suspends Yoon from office while the Constitutional Court reviews the case. Prime Minister Han Duck-soo has assumed the role of interim president. The court now has 180 days to decide Yoon’s fate, and if it upholds the impeachment, he would become the second president in South Korean history to be removed from office. The decision follows widespread public anger, with polls showing 75 percent support for impeachment and thousands protesting for days outside the National Assembly demanding Yoon’s ouster.
