Houthi: Gaza ‘testing ground’ for prohibited US, Israeli weapons

The leader of the Yemeni Ansarullah resistance movement, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, delivers a speech on December 5, 2024.

The leader of the Yemeni Ansarullah resistance movement says Israel and its closest ally, the United States, have turned the besieged Gaza Strip into a “testing ground” for their internationally prohibited weapons.

In a televised speech on Thursday, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said “The [Israeli] enemy began using new American weapons that dissolve the bodies against the people of the [Gaza] Strip.”

He stressed that Washington uses its direct and proxy wars against the Arab and Muslim countries to test its prohibited weapons and their effectiveness in exterminating people.

Referring to the situation in the occupied West Bank, Houthi stressed that the Israeli crimes against Palestinians in the occupied territory proves that the regime is targeting the whole Palestinian nation without exception.

Israel has ramped up violence against Palestinians in the West Bank since it launched a genocidal war in Gaza in October 2023, killing at least 730 Palestinians and abducting more than 11,900 others.

Israel launched the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023 after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas launched the surprise Operation al-Aqsa Flood against the occupying entity in response to the Israeli regime's decades-long campaign of bloodletting and devastation against Palestinians.

The regime’s bloody onslaught on Gaza has so far killed at least 44,580 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured more than 105,739 others. Thousands more are also missing and presumed dead under rubble.

Houthi noted that “the worst and most serious” violation committed by Israel against Muslim sanctities is the desecration of the Holy Qur'an, noting that they are “systematic, documented and planned” violations, backed by the US.

“The United States is the other side of Zionism.”

He slammed some Arab regimes over their failure to take action against the Israeli crimes, and for supporting Tel Aviv.

His remarks came as Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics revealed that exports from Egypt, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Jordan to the regime have surged compared to the previous year.

The Ansarullah chief stressed that the members of the resistance axis, including Iran, Yemen, Iraq, and Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement, will continue to support the oppressed people in Palestine.

Since the onset of Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, Yemeni forces have carried out scores of operations in support of the war-hit Gazans, striking targets throughout the occupied Palestinian territories, in addition to targeting Israeli ships or vessels heading towards ports in the occupied territories.
