Terrorist's resurgence in Syria
At least four civilians have been killed in terrorist attacks on Syria’s northwestern city of Aleppo. Syrian media said the fatalities occurred in artillery shelling of university dorms. A coalition of terrorist groups has launched new attacks on Syria’s Aleppo and Idlib provinces. The Syrian army has launched a large-scale military operation against terrorist positions. It has retaken control of several areas, including the towns of al-Baqoum and Khan al-Assal, and killed at least 400 terrorists. The Syrian army is currently fighting fierce battles against terrorist groups around the village of Abu al-Zandin, in the al-Bab region. Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy for more than a decade. However, the country with the help of its allies, Russia and Iran, had managed to largely quell the violence in recent years.
US-Israeli genocide in Gaza
At least 32 people have been killed as Israel intensifies its air and artillery strikes on residential areas across the war-wracked Gaza Strip. Most of the fatalities were reported from the al-Nuseirat refugee camp and Gaza City, where Israel’s military has carried out deadly raids. Another Israeli attack also killed 5 members of a family in their home in Khan Younis in southern Gaza. Meanwhile, authorities say over a million Palestinian children are suffering from malnutrition across Gaza. The health crisis is also rapidly deteriorating in the war-torn territory, with 34 hospitals being knocked out of service. The Israeli genocide has killed at least 44-thousand-330 civilians so far, leaving nearly 105-thousand others injured.
Israel's expansionist policies
An Israeli minister has once again called for re-establishing settlements in the Gaza Strip. The regime’s minister of housing described the move as a response to the arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and ousted war minister Yoav Gallant. Yizak Gold-nopf posted a photograph of himself on social media looking at a map of potential settlement sites in Gaza. Israel evacuated its settlements and military presence from Gaza in 2005. However, in recent months, Israeli ministers and lawmakers have renewed calls to reestablish settlements. It has drawn strong Palestinian opposition and widespread regional condemnation. Israel has also been expanding its settlement activity in the occupied West Bank. The settlements are illegal under international law.
