At least two young Palestinians have been killed by Israeli military forces in the West Bank, according to Palestinian medical sources and witnesses, as Israeli troops continue to carry out raids across the occupied territory.

The official Palestinian news agency WAFA, citing locals, said Israeli soldiers stormed Ya'bad, located 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) west of Jenin, from its eastern flank on Sunday evening, sparking confrontations with the town residents.

Israeli forces then responded with live bullets and opened indiscriminate fire on the protesting Palestinians. Mohammad Rabi' Jamal Hamarsheh, 13, and 20-year-old Ahmad Mahmoud Zaid were shot and killed as a result.

Medical sources and eyewitnesses said Israeli soldiers killed the Palestinian teenager and youth at point-blank, and they sustained grave gunshot wounds, especially in the upper parts of their bodies.

The occupation forces then prevented ambulance crews from reaching Hamarsheh and Zaid until they were sure they both had succumbed to their wounds.

The bodies of the two slain Palestinians were transferred to the Ya'bad Emergency Center.

Since the start of the genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023, Israeli troops have detained thousands of Palestinians across the occupied West Bank, including more than 2,050 individuals they claimed were affiliated with the Hamas resistance movement.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, more than 760 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank during the period.
