Israeli forces have shot dead two more Palestinians, including a woman, in the occupied West Bank, almost two weeks after the occupying entity launched a massive military aggression on the Palestinian territory.
The two Palestinians were fatally shot by live fire of Israeli soldiers in the city of Tulkarm, in the northern occupied West Bank, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported on Tuesday, citing the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The ministry identified the male as 24-year-old Ahmad Majduba, while the identity of the female is still unknown.
According to WAFA, Earlier, Israeli military vehicles stormed Tulkarm and its camp and besieged the Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital.
At least 10 other Palestinians also sustained injuries in the military incursion and transferred to hospital, with their wounds described as moderate to mild.
Israeli forces used live ammunition, sound bombs, and tear gas against residents while ordering shop owners to close their stores and leave, resulting in a major traffic jam around the Thabet Thabet roundabout, Nablus Street, and the nearby hospital.
They also raided the Palestine Red Crescent Society’s EMS center in Tulkarm, surrounding the building and forcing medical personnel to evacuate, the PRCS said on X.
The PRCS also reported that, earlier, Israeli forces fired live bullets at a PRCS volunteer who was helping an injured individual in the Tulkarm camp, while at the same time, they encircled the camp, stationed their vehicles at every entrance, placed snipers on various houses and buildings, and conducted extensive reconnaissance flights overhead.
In the early hours of August 28, the Israeli military conducted its biggest operation – dubbed “Camps of Summer” – in the West Bank in over 20 years, deploying hundreds of troops and carrying out airstrikes on Jenin, Tulkarm, and Tubas, which are major centers of Palestinian resistance against the occupying regime.
Since the onset of the current aggression in the West Bank, the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces has now increased to dozens. The total death toll in the occupied West Bank has now reached over 700 since October 7 last year.
