Israel’s occupation forces have once again attacked a school sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, killing at least 15 people.

The military bombed Hamama School in Gaza City on Saturday, according to Gaza’s civil defense agency.

According to a statement by the agency, the compound was housing Palestinians, who have been displaced from their homes — many four or five times — since the Israeli regime launched its campaign of death and destruction in the populated enclave in early October.

The military admitted that it had attacked the school, but it claimed that the facility was a command and control center used by the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas.

Hamas has not reacted to the military’s statement yet, but it has repeatedly denied that its fighters operate from civilian facilities such as schools and hospitals.

Earlier on Saturday, the regime’s forces kill at least three Palestinians in an attack on a house in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

And an attack near Khan Yunis, killed five Palestinians, including a child and three women, according to the Palestinian WAFA news agency.

Al Jazeera also reported that two people were killed and one was injured by another Israeli attack in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City in the northern Strip.

According to the latest figures released by the Gaza Health Ministry, as of Saturday, at least 39,550 people have been killed across the besieged enclave. The toll includes 70 deaths in 48 hours, according to ministry figures.

At least 91,280 people have also been wounded in the last ten months, the figures show.
