Iran-IAEA developments
Iran’s foreign minister warns against unconstructive interference in the duties of the International Atomic Energy Agency. In a phone conversation with Singapore's Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian pointed to Iran's cooperation with the IAEA. He said the agency's reports have verified the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program, and that hasty political comments cannot deter its progress. He also pointed to a mutually satisfactory agreement that was made during IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi’s recent visit to Tehran. According to the top diplomat, Iran is serious about making a good deal, and that an agreement is available if all parties adhere to diplomacy, instead of threats.
Palestinian funerals
Israeli troops have shot dead a Palestinian man during a raid in the occupied West Bank as regime forces step up deadly attacks against the Palestinians. Ayman Muhaisen, a 29-year-old father of three, was killed when regime forces raided the Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem. He was the third Palestinian killed in 24 hours, after a woman was shot early on Wednesday, and a man was killed in an Israeli raid on the town of Ya’bad near Jenin later in the day. Six Palestinians were also injured during the attacks. Meantime, hundreds of people held funerals for two of the Palestinians killed on Wednesday. The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has called on the International Criminal Court to break its silence over Israel’s crimes.
US ulterior motive in Yemen
The leader of Yemen’s popular Ansarullah movement says resistance is the only path to victory against the enemies of the country. Abdul-Malik al-Houthi says standing up to enemies is a religious duty. He accused the United States of seeking to control Yemen in order to loot its resources. He said Washington has been targeting the country in all areas, including politics, economy, security and culture. Houthi said the US and its allies resorted to military action after losing hope of controlling the country politically, but still they failed to achieve their goals due to the steadfast resistance of the Yemeni nation. The Ansarullah leader said the Yemeni people will not give in to any campaign against their country. He also censured some regional states for working hand-in-hand with the US and Israel in trying to implement vicious plots against Muslim nations.
