The Taliban government has launched its largest program to create new jobs and lessen the mass poverty in Afghanistan. The program includes digging water channels in exchange for wheat.
The program has been welcomed by the chief of World Food Program, David Beasley, who appreciated it as a good means to cope with the growing poverty in Afghanistan. The Taliban say the program will create tens of thousands of new jobs.
