10-men Brazil have sealed a spot in the semifinals of the Copa America after edging past Chile 1-nil in Rio de Janeiro.

After a goaless first half, the host nation got the upper hand just a minute after the break when substitute Paqueta scored the winner with Neymar’s brilliant pass from close range. Only 2 minutes later, Gabriel Jesus sent off with a straight red card, but Chile couldn’t capitalize on the man advantage. Chile were even unlucky when Eduardo Vargas goal was disallowed following a VAR check. Le Selecao now meet Peru in the semifinals to defend their title.
