US sanctions threat
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has said some countries still hesitate about delivering the purchased coronavirus jabs to Iran due to US sanctions threat. Rouhani noted that the terrorism which began under former US president Donald Trump still continues to exist. He added that an international organization has postponed the delivery of covid-19 vaccines under pressure. He also noted that the previous year was full of hardships. That includes continuous sanctions, economic war and the coronavirus pandemic.
Europe vaccine export row
France has accused Britain of blackmail over the coronavirus vaccine exports amid a growing row over jab supply in Europe. French foreign minister Jean-Yves Le Drian called on the European Union to control exports of the Astra Zeneca vaccine. He expressed hope that the EU and the UK can reach an agreement so that the British-Swedish AstraZeneca Company can fulfill its vaccine deliveries. Vaccination programs have been sluggish across Europe. The EU blames pharmaceutical companies for inability to deliver the promised doses. The bloc has warned to ban Astra Zeneca vaccine’s exports to provide the EU with required doses.
Myanmar violence

Security forces have used tear gas, rubber bullets and live rounds against anti-coup protesters. So far, more than 200 people have been killed in the anti-coup unrest.
