14 drones and 8 ballistic missiles were launched by the Yemeni army targeting Ras Tanura port east of Saudi Arabia and other oil and military sites in the cities of Dammam, Asir and Jazan.

The operation was the largest so far and indicated a wider level of retaliatory attacks.

The Saudi regime confirmed the latest attacks, saying a drone and a ballistic missile hit its oil port and other facilities of energy giant Aramco, east of the country.

Observers say such retaliatory attacks will incur much damage to the Saudi economy and may force the kingdom to stop the war.

These are the latest attacks by the Yemeni military in response to Saudi Arabia’s deadly aggression against the impoverished nation and its siege. The Saudi-led war on Yemen, which began in March 2015, has killed tens of thousands of people, many of them women and children. Saudi Arabia has also maintained an all out blockade on Yemen, holding 14 oil vessels for months and even hampering the humanitarian aid there.

Yemenis say their army should continue attacking Saudi oil facilities until the kingdom releases detained oil vessels and stops its years-long mayhem against the Yemeni children and women.
