UEFA Europa League: Tottenham 2-0 Royal Antwerp
Tottenham has defeated Royal Antwerp of Belgium 2-0 to top Group J, despite a number of heroic saves by the Belgian side's Iranian goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand as both teams advanced to the next round.
The Premier League leaders got on the scoresheet in the 57th minute, as Carlos Vinicius tapped the ball home from close range, after Beiranvand saved superstar Gareth Bale's free kick.
Less than 15 minutes later, Giovani Lo Celso beat Iran's goalie in a one-on-one battle, to drill a low drive inside the left post.
With the victory, Jose Mourinho’s men took the top spot in Group J with 13 points out of 6 matches, while Antwerp finished 2nd, just a single point shy of Tottenham.
