The 2020 Aviation Festival kicked off in Ulanqab City of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Friday morning with dazzling aerobatic performances.

At around 11:30 Friday, an aerobatic display team consisting of two Bell 407 helicopters, a four-blade, single-engine, civil utility helicopter, wowed the audience with dizzying aerobatic maneuvers.

The helicopter, worth 25 million yuan, has a maximum speed of 250 km per hour and a flying range of 675 km.

Twenty paramotors also won applauses from the audience after performing various group flying stunts.

Organized by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of China (AOPA-China), the aviation festival this year will last for three days, with 55 aircraft, including fixed wing planes, helicopters, paramotors and paragliders.

Visitors can enjoy a four hour-long spectacular aerobatic show performed by these aircraft each day.

As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, foreign participants have been unable to attend the event, while all the performing pilots have passed through nucleic acid testing, according to the organizers.
