Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have held a protest rally to express their anger at the normalization of UAE's relations with Israel, describing it as a deal of shame for the UAE.

Palestinians say the protest will continue as they won’t accept the normalization deal, which serves as a stab in their back.

The Palestinians legislative council has also held a meeting during which Palestinian leaders have unanimously said that no country has the right to make decisions on behalf of Palestinians who are the only decision-makers for what is related to their country and their rights.

While UAE claims normalization has played a role in delaying Israel's annexation plans in the occupied West Bank, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has noted that the deal has nothing to do with the annexation plan and it will go on as planned.

While UAE and some other regional countries claim that normalizing ties with Israel will advance peace in the region, Palestinians consider it a betrayal of Palestine.

A stab in the back is how Palestinians describe the normalization of ties between the United Arab Emirates and Israel.

Palestinians say they are disappointed and consider this move a great betrayal of the Palestinian cause.
