UEFA are working on a new plan to complete the 2019-20 season of the Champions League by the last weekend of August.
European football's governing body will meet on the 23rd of April for more discussions about how to end the current season, which has been put on hold because of the coronavirus crisis.
Based on a media report, UEFA hopes to stage the Champions League final on August the 29th in Istanbul, following the Europa League final in Gdansk 3 days earlier.
Also two scenarios for getting to that situation are under consideration. The first is to play the quarter-finals and semifinals as the normal 2-legged matches in July and August. The 2nd would be for the games to be played as one-off fixtures after the end of the domestic seasons, potentially condensing the end of the competition into a week-long mini tournament.
