Former US Vice President Joe Biden, who is also a leading 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, has once again made a cringeworthy blunder at a campaign rally in New Hampshire, this time geographically confusing what state he was in.
The 76-year-old, who is spending the weekend meeting voters in the town of Keene in southwestern state of New Hampshire, offered a eulogy about a different state when reporters asked about his impressions of the town.
"I love this place. Look, what’s not to like about Vermont in terms of the beauty of it? And what a neat town, this is like a scenic, beautiful town…everybody has been really friendly. I like Keene a lot,” Biden said on Saturday.

The former vice president also recently mixed up Burlington in Vermont and Burlington in Iowa.
Biden has come under fire for his clanger-laden campaigns during his latest presidential run.
Earlier this month, the veteran politician told an audience of Asian and Hispanic voters that “poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids” before correcting himself and saying “wealthy kids.”
Biden also misstated the decade in which Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy were killed, and more recently raised eyebrows at a town hall event focused on health care in New Hampshire on Friday, when he asked to imagine if former President Barack Obama had been assassinated.
The 76-year-old has also been lambasted for what his opponents and others have deemed inappropriate touching, hugging and sniffing of women and children. Biden has dismissed such allegations.
US President Donald Trump has in the past asserted without elaborating that the veteran politician is not as mentally and physically sharp as he used to be, referring to Biden as “sleepy Joe.”
The 76-year-old leads in Democratic primary polls and edges Trump in polls of a hypothetical 2020 match-up.
Walsh becomes 2nd GOPer to challenge Trump
In a related development concerning US presidential election, Joe Walsh, a conservative former congressman turned talk show host, became on Sunday the second Republican to challenge Trump for the party's 2020 White House nomination.
In a video, Walsh announced his nominations and criticized Trump as a bully who is unfit for office.
Bill Weld, a former Massachusetts governor, had been the only Republican trying to unseat Trump but his candidacy has so far failed to gain traction.
