Nine dead, three missing as migrant boat sinks off Turkish coast

Authorities in Ayvalik in western Turkey report nine people, including five children, died on Friday, as a migrant boat sank off the Turkish coast.

The coast guard was able to rescue five people, while three remain missing.

Footage shows coast guards unloading body bags from their boat and ambulance and funeral transport vehicles arriving at the port.

According to a statement by the coast guard, four boats and two helicopters are conducting a search in the area to find the remaining missing passengers.
