Liverpool 3-1 Manchester United: Shaqiri goals put Klopp's men on top

Liverpool have moved back to the top of the Premier League table after two second-half goals from substitute Xherdan Shaqiri" gave them a 3-1 victory over Manchester United at Anfield.

Liverpool grabbed the lead in the 24th minute when Sadio Mane slotted past David De Gea. United drew level in the 33rd minute when Liverpool keeper Alisson Becker spilled a low cross and Jesse Lingard pounced on the loose ball to find the net.

The hosts retook the lead soon after Swiss international Xherdan Shaqiri came on. Shaqiri made it 2-1 in the 73rd minute.

And 7 minutes later, his shot was deflected into the net. The final score 3-1 to Liverpool. The unbeaten Liverpool have 45 points from 17 games with the champions Manchester City just one point behind.
