Hungary in trouble

Hungary’s right-wing coalition wins big in parliamentary elections. That means Prime Minister Viktor Orban will serve another term in office and promote his xenophobic policies. The European Parliament’s Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs committee has announced plans to introduce sanctions against the EU country. Orban’s government is being accused of undermining the independence of the judiciary, freedom of press and fundamental rights of its citizens.

Syria attacked
