Al-Qaeda fighting alongside US troops

The Saudi war on Yemen, the Arab world’s most impoverished country, began in March 2015. The US has provided arms and intelligence to militants fighting for former president Hadi against Ansarullah fighters. This has put the United States on the same side with what America describes as one of its sworn enemies; al-Qaeda. That’s because the terror network is also fighting the Ansarullah movement. The United States might be unwilling to admit that, but a revelation by the leader of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula is embarrassing the US backed coalition.

France Election 2017

France is heading to the polls for the second round of a highly-contested presidential election in less than a week’s time. Emmanuel Macron and his far-right rival Marine Le Pen are leaving no stones unturned to lure undecided voters. But it appears that the centrist Macron is using a more populist language to appeal to conservative voters. He's now talking about a Frexit if the EU does not implement necessary reforms.

“We have to face the situation, to listen to our people, and to listen to the fact that they are extremely angry today, impatient, and the dysfunction of the EU is no more sustainable.” Is this a veiled threat against the EU or simply a tactic to gain the support of the voters?
