German rider John Degenkolb has won stage 3 of the Dubai Tour on Thursday, which is the longest race on the course.

But it wasn't an easy one as the riders had to battle through ‘strong winds and sands’ across the desert, in the grueling 200 kilometer race.

However, Degenkolb held on and took top spot in 4 hours, 3 minutes and 8 seconds.
Reinardt Janse van Rensburg from South Africa finished 2nd, with Italian Sonny Colbrelli back in 3rd.

Meanwhile, overall race leader Marcel Kittel failed to make it into the top 10. He sustained a minor eye injury during the race when he was hit by Ukrainian rider Andriy Grivko.
