North Koreans have taken part in sports events to mark the nation's first dedicated sports day.
Officials from various state departments also attended the event. Footage shows the capital Pyongyang packed with exercise goers as they participated in coordinated sports routines, with Taekwondo and gymnastics proving popular sports.
People also run in large groups, with one person in each section holding the country’s flag.
North Korea has been marking every second Sunday of each months as national sports day since 1992.
