Scores of civilians are believed to have lost their lives when the so-called US-led coalition carried out an airstrike against purported positions of the Takfiri Daesh terrorists in Iraq’s troubled Northern province of Nineveh.
The US military said the aerial attack was initially thought to have struck a van carrying Daesh militants near the militant-held city of Mosul, located some 400 kilometers north of the capital Baghdad.
The strike took place in what was later determined to be a hospital compound parking lot resulting in possible civilian casualties.
A human rights activist believes the US does not care about the Iraqi and Syrian civilians, and that Daesh, which Washington pretends to be fighting, is its own making.
The US State Department and the Defense Intelligence Agency "admitted that they were fostering these fundamentalists that created ISIS (Daesh). They wanted a Salafist principality in Syria and so that is now in Syria and Iraq. That is the US’s own Frankenstein. So it is not only that they are killing civilians but they are fighting a force that they have put there in the first place,” Ryan Dawson told Press TV in an interview on Friday.
He also noted that the US-led coalition is not sincere in its attempt to liberate Mosul, asserting that it has been arming and funding the Daesh terrorists all the time.
The activist also argued that the US has allowed the Daesh terrorists to escape from Mosul in the wake of an Iraqi operation to liberate the northern city.
Dawson further stated that Washington seeks to protect the militants in Syria and Iraq.
He also added that Washington is implementing the Oded Yinon Plan, which is to foster sectarian infighting in Syria and Iraq.
Therefore, he said, the US just wants a “bloodbath”, and as long as it can prolong the conflict, it neither wants a resolution nor a winner.
According to the activist, if a bunch of Zionists in the Office of Special Plans, a former Pentagon unit, had not cherry-picked and fabricated information to create a war in Iraq in the first place, the Daesh terrorist group would not have emerged in Syria.
