Anti-torture sit-in in Rome's Parliament square

Anti-torture protesters gathered in Rome’s Parliament square to demand the adoption of legislation that makes torture a crime. Although Italy ratified a UN convention on torture in 1988, the practice is not yet a crime under Italian law but just a common offence.
