Iran’s Alipour collects silver in IFSC World Championships Paris 2016

Iranian rock climber Reza Alipour has delivered a tremendous performance at the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) World Championships Paris 2016, and landed in the second position of the chart at the prestigious sporting event.

On Saturday evening, the Iranian sportsman participated in the men’s speed record category competitions in the French capital, and registered 7.73 seconds to finish as the vice champion.

Marcin Dzienski, a contestant from Poland, clocked 5.83 seconds to take the top honor, and collect the gold medal. Aleksandr Shikov earned the bronze medal with 5.95 seconds.

The IFSC World Championships Paris 2016 started in the French capital on September 14 and wrapped up on September 18.

All three disciplines of speed, bouldering and lead in addition to para-climbing style were represented at the five-day tournament.

On May 7, Alipour won the gold medal in the IFSC Climbing World Cup 2016. He clocked 11.75 seconds to take the top honor.

Liber Hroza, from the Czech Republic, landed in the second position of the chart. Polish climber Marcin Dzienski pocketed the bronze medal.

The IFSC Climbing World Cup 2016 started in Nanjing, China, on May 7 and finished the next day.
