French Socialists near implosion after labor decree

France’s Socialist Party has faced strong disapproval over the controversial labor reforms, which have set off union strikes and street protests in recent months. Observers say the ruling party will have a tough time ahead less than a year from the presidential election, with Francois Hollande seeing his popularity plummeting and his party fracturing.
