34th anniversary of liberation of the strategic city of Khorramshahr has been marked in Iran.

- Iran marks the 34th anniversary of the liberation of the strategic port city of Khorramshahr during the war with Iraq. Iranian forces recaptured the southwestern city in a major operation in 1982. 6000 Iranian forces were killed and thousands of others injured during the operation.
