Israeli forces have demolished the home of a Palestinian teen, who was fatally shot in January for allegedly stabbing an Israeli woman.

The walls of the apartment of Hussein Abu Ghosh, 17, in Qalandiya, near the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, were destroyed overnight.

The family of Abu Ghosh had reportedly evacuated the home about a month ago.

Israel’s army confirmed on Wednesday that the regime’s troops had razed the home of Abu Ghosh.

On January 25, Israeli forces shot dead Abu Ghosh and another Palestinian, Ibrahim Allan, 23, over an alleged stabbing attack against two women in the West Bank settlement of Beit Horon, northwest of al-Quds (Jerusalem). One of the women later succumbed to her injuries.

The Israeli forces have been demolishing the homes of Palestinians it accuses of carrying out attacks against Israelis. Human rights groups have condemned the practice of demolition as a form of collective punishment.

Palestinian media outlets said clashes erupted between Israeli troops and Palestinians angered by the demolition at the Qalandiya refugee camp.

Israeli media claimed that two soldiers were slightly injured in the clashes, but Israel's military declined to comment on the skirmishes.

Earlier reports said that at least eight Palestinians were injured after Israeli military forces raided the refugee camp to demolish Abu Ghosh's home.

Israeli forces fired live bullets as well as tear gas canisters and stun grenades to disperse the crowd.

The occupied territories have been the scene of heightened tensions since August 2015, when Israel imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East al-Quds (Jerusalem).

About 210 Palestinians, including children and women, have lost their lives at the hands of Israeli forces since the beginning of last October.
