US Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump is leading two of his competitors in their home states, besting Senator Marco Rubio in Florida and Governor John Kasich in Ohio, according to new polls.
The billionaire businessman holds 41 percent to Kasich’s 35 percent in Ohio, and in Florida, Trump leads Rubio 40 percent to 24 percent, the CNN/ORC polls show.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz is in third with 15 percent support in Ohio, and stands at 19 percent in Florida.

The results, released on Wednesday, came less than a week from the March 15 contests in those states as well as in Illinois, North Carolina and Missouri.
In both Florida and Ohio, large majorities of Republican voters say that if the candidate from their home states does not win the primary vote, he should drop out of the presidential race.

On the Democratic side, former first lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton leads her rival Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont 63 percent to 33 percent in Ohio, and 61 percent to 34 percent in Florida, the polls show.
Sanders emerged victorious in the Democratic primary in Michigan on Tuesday night, 49.9 percent to Clinton’s 48.2 percent.
Clinton won Mississippi by a wide margin, continuing a spectacular run in the southern US where she has attracted a large African American electorate.

Meanwhile, Trump added to his delegate lead Tuesday night with victories in Michigan, Mississippi and Hawaii, rattling his rivals' nerves.
