1. IAEA Iran vote
The UN watchdog agency in a much-awaited announcement said it had closed investigations into the "possible military dimensions" of Iran's past nuclear activities. The closure of Iran's so-called PMD file will now pave the ground for the removal of sanctions against Iran.
2. Yemen peace talks
Peace talks are underway in Switzerland among domestic parties involved in the conflict. The talks are progressing slowly as a result of differences over several key issues including the cease-fire conditions, the removal of the blockade and the troops withdrawal plan.
3. Republicans against Iran
US Republican presidential candidates in their fifth debate launched a series of implicit attacks on Iran. A common theme in their attacks was juxtaposing Iran with the ISIL. This is while Iran is helping Iraq and Syria fight the group.
