A report by global terrorism Index shows that terrorist killings were up by 80% in 2014 with attacks by Boko Haram in Nigeria and ISIL in Syria and Iraq driving the increase in deaths. Other countries were Afghanistan and Pakistan, all countries the US were involved in.

Daesh growth under US supervision

Daesh may have expanded into Syria, but it grew under Washington’s supervision in Iraq. The US watched its growth as an offspring of al-Qaeda, while Saudi Arabia supported its expansion.
