- Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says terrorists have absolutely nothing to do with Islam. Ayatollah Khamenei added that the best way to counter Daesh and other Takfiri groups is boosting moderate Islamic movements. Leader made the remarks in a meeting with Turkmen President Gurban-guly Berdi-muhamedow in Tehran.
- Leaders of major natural gas producing countries in the world are arriving in Iran to attend a summit meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum. The Nigerian, Turkmen, Iraqi and Equatorial Guinean presidents as well as the Algerian prime minister have so far arrived in Tehran.
- The Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps says Iranian intelligence forces have foiled all attempts by the Daesh terrorists to cause insecurity in the country. Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari says the terror group has long been seeking to destabilize Iran, but it has evidently failed to achieve its goal.
- French police have released the picture of the third of three suspects, accused of carrying out the bomb attack outside France’s national stadium on November 13. The authorities have called on witnesses to help them identify the man. Only one of the other two bombers has been identified after their photos were released.
- Belgian Prime Minister Sharl Mishel says his country will maintain the terror alert at the maximum level of four in the capital Brussels amid fears of a possible Paris-like attack. Shopping centers, metro stations, museums and cinemas will remain closed. Belgian citizens have also been advised to avoid crowds and stay indoors.
- Israeli forces have killed three more Palestinians in the latest wave of violence in the occupied territories. Israel has accused the victims of trying to carry out knife attacks against Israelis. At least 95 Palestinians and 17 Israelis have been killed in the occupied territories since the beginning of October.
- British media say the Labour Party has voted to boycott the world's largest security firm over its business ties with Israel. The party's national executive committee has approved a resolution boycotting G-4-S for providing security systems and maintenance services to the Israeli military.
