The Leader of Iran’s Islamic revolution says the nation’s policy is to help boost brotherly relations among Muslim countries.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei made the comment during a meeting with Kyrgyzstan’s President Almaz-bek Atam-bayev. Ayatollah Khamenei underlined the need for standing up against bullying powers, saying hegemonic countries constantly hatch plots against other nations. The Leader added that the only way to counter such conspiracies is to strengthen relations among Muslim countries. Ayatollah Khamenei also hailed Bishkek’s decision to end a military treaty under which the U-S was allowed to use the Menas airbase in Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz president also praised Iran’s resistance against Western pressure and sanctions. Atam-bayev said the sanctions only strengthened Tehran’s determination. He added that Kyrgyzstan considers Iran as a role-model.
