Saudi Arabia’s monarch Salman bin Abdulaziz has devolved the country’s kingship to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef prior to heading for an extended holiday in France.

The Saudi-owned Al Arabiya news television said the Royal Order was issued on Sunday. Based on the decree, the royal would be running the kingdom’s affairs and protect the Saudi nation’s interests during the monarch’s absence.
