The International Women's Day comes as a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women's past, present and future.

Situation of women however in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, and particularly in Gaza Strip contradicts with the perception of such occasion.

As every single female in Gaza has suffered oppression in different shapes due to Israeli practices which have put over 30.000 women in displacement, under cruel livelihood.

Israeli latest attack against Gaza left 293 women dead last July & August, 791 women became widows, in addition to 600 abortion cases.

Palestinian women are still suffering from the strict Israeli blockade, preventing many from having their needs fulfilled, including housing, health care & even marriage.
